Artist Biography
Eileen Fischer's art history began as a toddler and never stopped. Educated in a two-language home (Polish and English), she naturally delved into the ethnic arts at an early age, creating sculptures and small drawings. In later years, Ms. Fischer used her prolific arts background in a number of college disciplines, polishing and honing her art education until finally entering the Center for Creative Studies. She received her degree with honors from that prestigious arts college before proceding to Wayne State University and a Masters in fine art.
Her education has never stopped: she continually upgrades and hones her skills in watercolors, oils, airbrush, pastels, inks and dyes. Ms. Fischer also received a degree in Graphic Communication, specializing in illustration, and has since taught locally (Las Vegas, NV) at the community college, focusing on their outstanding graphics program and fine art.
Ms. Fischer has also taught sculpture and recently completed a porcelain bas relief with reproductions of this image. These are available through City Lights Art Gallery (at which she is a gallery director) and through the gallery's website.
Her works have been collected and commissioned by many private clients, including Bill Boyd, Mother Theresa, notable physicians and surgeons. She is especially noted for her portraitures, having studied art anatomy and medical anatomy and physiology for six years. After continuing Psychological studies and readings, Ms. Fischer brings to her portraiture an insight that is much appreciated by her clients, often placing her subjects in a time period
she feels reflects her subject.
Art is Ms. Fischer's byword, her core activity and function, and in her present capacity as gallery director and teacher, hopes to continue passing the baton by disseminating the absolute beauty and the skills that come with the knowledge of the visual arts.
